Warmroof Customer Comments From Mr & Mrs Poulton

Mr and Mrs Poutlon turned to Warmroof to spray their loft when they noticed that the nails on the north side of their loft had gone rusty and slates were slipping, leaving holes in the roof. This was a massive problem for them because in high winds and in pouring rain they had to find some way of making the holes water tight. They decided that the Warmroof System was a much more cost effective solution for them than having to re-roof their property.Mr Poulton states; “It was cost effective to have it sprayed as it holds the slates and ridges on, and saved having scaffolding and having the whole roof felted and battened and then reslated.” As proud owners of a lovely large detached house, re-roofing would have been a timely nuisance for them.

Mr & Mrs Poulotn also said that ‘after the job was done the temperatures stayed even, not going above 95 degrees in the summer and not dropping below 45 degrees in the winter’. This is because the Spray foam saves up to 80% of the heat normally lost through your roof, this means that their loft will stay cooler in Summer and warn in the Winter, guaranteed for 25 years!

Another added bonus is that they have gained valuable extra room in their home now that loft is now warm, dry, clean and useable. The couple pointed out that ‘the loft stays clean and dry! Before we used to get rain and dirt blowing under the slates since there was no felt’.

As an environmentally friendly couple Mr & Mrs Poulton, who are proud to grow all their own vegetables and buy local produce, meat and fish, can now say that they are cutting their carbon footprint even further. With their Warmroof System they are reducing their carbon emissions because they are no longer producing heat to warm up their house which is then escaping straight out of their roof.

Warmroof Customer Comments From Mr & Mrs Eeles

Having decided to do something about my old draughty 1930’s roof and also the insulation of the house, I investigated having the roof re-tiled and the roof lined with felt.My attention was then drawn to the service offered by Warmroof, and after speaking to their representative, I decided to go that route rather than re-tile the roof and can say I am very happy with the results, especially in keeping the same outward appearance to the house, and the cost savings for me personally.
We also had Warmroof supply plastic fascia and guttering at the same time as the roof was sprayed. All the work was carried out cleanly and professionally and the results were very pleasing.

Warmroof Customer Comments From Mrs Murphey

We chose Warmroof primarily because of the peace of mind their 25 year roof warranty would give us. Their roofing technician arrived and carried out a full survey of our roof from both the inside and out. We were given a full written report on his findings and he took the time to verbally explain what he had found in simple terms. Once we agreed that we wanted to proceed he stayed and carried out some minor mortar repair and he replacement of two or three cracked tiles there and then.

The following day the Warmroof insulation technicians turned up at the prearranged time. They again explained what the procedure was and covered our hallway and stairs with protective coverings before bringing in their equipment. The items stored in the loft were also covered with protective sheets.

The work was carried out professionally and without the slightest mess. They cleared away all their tools and any rubbish and we were invited to inspect the finished insulation.

The procedure has transformed our attic from a dark and dusty area to an area that was clean, light and extremely well insulated. We have already noticed how much less dust we get inside the house and look forward to the obvious benefits this grade and standard insulation will give us in the winter period. An added bonus is I can now spot any spiders!

We unreservedly recommend Warmroof for their system and were exceptionally pleased by the efficiency and professionally of their technicians.

An Independent Review

An independent review of the impact of thermal insulation on global warming was carried out recently. The results were reported in “Thermal Insulation and its role in Carbon Dioxide Reduction”, by Caleb Management Services.

It was recognised that thermal insulation can play a key role in the cost effective reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in Europe and save up to 350 million tonnes per annum by 2010.
Retrofitting of uninsulated or poorly insulated properties provides by far the biggest contribution to carbon dioxide savings.

The report also pointed out that insulation materials should be highly efficient, in terms of performance at low thickness levels, should have a high strength to weight ratio, should be easy to apply, fibre-free and resistant to moisture.

The key requirements listed above admirably describe the properties of the Warmroof System.
One of the most important aspects of spray-applied polyurethane foam is the fact that it produces a seamless blanket of insulation, without joints. Any jointed system, including insulation boards, gives rise to a potential weak point, leading to a significant loss of insulation value.

The government supports thermal insulation and has reduced the VAT payable on your Warmroof installation.
